UV Ray Blocking Potential
Not every window film contractor treats your building like an engineering problem. We do. Owner Kevin Simmons spent years in commercial construction before focusing exclusively on architectural window film. That background shapes how we approach every project.
Kevin understands buildings from the inside out, which means he knows how different window types, orientations, and glazing systems behave under Boise’s sun. That knowledge is the difference between a film that performs and one that causes problems.
Before we recommend a single product, we measure your windows. Solar exposure, glass type, and orientation all affect which film performs best. Our metering process eliminates guesswork and ensures the film we install is the right film for your specific windows.
We install professional-grade window films, including Solar Gard and Avery Dennison, selected for your glass and goals. Both manufacturers are known for consistent quality and performance ratings you can verify. When we quote a product, you get the product we quoted.

High-performance solar film that blocks heat and UV while preserving your view. Matched to Idaho’s sun angles for maximum seasonal efficiency.
One-way mirror and frosted film options that give you privacy during daylight hours without sacrificing natural light inside your home or office.
Frosted, patterned, and custom-cut film that adds visual interest to glass without permanent modification. Popular with homeowners and office designers alike.
Thick, tear-resistant film that holds glass together on impact. Reduces risk from forced entry, accidents, and storm debris.
Patterned film that birds can see as a barrier. We are a local installer specializing in bird-safe architectural film in the Treasure Valley.
Solar control film reduces the amount of heat entering through your glass during Boise’s peak summer months. That means your cooling system runs less, and your utility bill reflects it. Window replacement costs tens of thousands of dollars. Film costs a fraction of that and starts working immediately.
Window film gets dismissed as a cosmetic product. It is not. The right film, properly specified for your windows, makes measurable differences in how your home or building performs.
Up to 99 percent of UV rays are blocked by quality window film. Hardwood floors, furniture, artwork, and flooring degrade faster with unprotected glass. Film is one of the most cost-effective protections you can add to any space.
One-way mirror film lets you see out while blocking outside views during daylight hours. It is not the same as traditional tinting. The result is a bright, open interior that no longer feels exposed to the street or neighboring buildings.
At DK Films & Wraps, we treat window film installation as a detailed assessment process, not a sales pitch. Our diagnostic-first approach helps us evaluate your windows, understand your goals, and recommend a film solution suited to your property.
We start with a thorough on-site assessment rather than a generic price list. Using professional assessment tools, we evaluate factors such as light exposure, window orientation, and glass characteristics to help determine the appropriate film solution.
Drawing on owner Kevin Simmons’ background in commercial construction, we consider your building’s unique needs and recommend Solar Gard materials suited to your application. Our process focuses on careful product selection to help ensure the right film is matched to your glass.
Once the right film is selected, our experienced team executes clean, careful installations for residential and commercial spaces across the Treasure Valley, working to prevent bubbles, lifting, or peeling.
We wrap up by showing you how to care for your new film. Depending on the selected product, you can enjoy benefits such as reduced glare, improved comfort, UV protection, preserved natural light, and enhanced privacy.
Kevin Simmons founded DK Films & Wraps after a career in commercial construction. He brought that technical background to window film because he saw too many buildings with the wrong product on the wrong glass.
His approach is diagnostic first. He assesses your windows, measures solar exposure, and specifies the right Solar Gard product before any film is cut. If you have had bad experiences with window film before, this is usually why: the film was not matched to the window. Kevin's process prevents that.
