DK Films & Wraps is a Meridian window film company specializing in architectural film for homes and commercial buildings throughout the Treasure Valley. We work with professional-grade window films, including Solar Gard and Avery Dennison, and take a diagnostic approach to every project: measure first, recommend second, install last.

Owner Kevin Simmons came to window film by way of commercial construction. He spent years on the building side, working with contractors, property managers, and building owners before focusing exclusively on architectural window film. That background gives him a working knowledge of how buildings perform, how glazing systems interact with heat and light, and what it takes to specify the right product for a specific window.
Most window film installers choose a product based on price or appearance. Kevin chooses based on the window. Glass type, orientation, sun exposure, interior use, and local climate all factor into the recommendation before a blade touches the film. The result is an installation that performs as expected rather than one that causes problems after the fact.
Kevin installs professional-grade window films, including Solar Gard and Avery Dennison, selected for your glass and goals. Both manufacturers have a well-documented history of product consistency and performance, which matters when a client asks why we chose one film over another.

UV Ray Blocking Potential
Our process is straightforward. We arrive at your property with a light meter and take measurements before recommending anything. Window metering tells us how much solar energy is entering through each pane, and that data drives the product selection.
Window metering is the step most installers skip. It takes time and it requires equipment. But without that data, film selection is guesswork, and guesswork produces inconsistent results. We meter every window on every project, residential or commercial, before we write a single quote.
Solar Gard and Avery Dennison products come with clearly documented performance ratings for visible light transmission (VLT), solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC), and UV rejection. When we specify a film for your windows, you can look up those ratings yourself. There is no vague promise about what the film will do.
